This diorama depicts the 1993 edition of the 24 heures du Mans, during which a memorable battle between the Peugeot 905 and the Toyota TS 101 took place. Peugeot ended up winning all three places on the podium. It shows a cross section of the pits and features a section of the track, the technical area, as well as the pit lane and the back of the paddock. It includes more than 200 hand-painted figures. In order to make this diorama, Jean-Claude Baudier took down the measurements of the pits in full-size, on location, and then drew plans to work from on a 1:43 scale. |
